The annual Keep Kilkenny Beautiful (KKB) Awards took place last week at Langton’s Hotel on John Street. The MC was Maurice O’Connor of Community Radio Kilkenny City, and keynote speaker was Bernadette Moloney, Biodiversity Officer with Kilkenny County Council. Presentations were made by several local dignitaries. KKB Chairperson Maria Dollard presented the following awards. Hero of our Community: Pat Durkan. Fitzpatrick Shield for Community Effort: Kilkenny Sub-Aqua Club. Private Garden Pollinator - Biodiversity Award: Declan MacAuley, 7 Meadow Hill. Community pollinator - Biodiversity Award: Glendine Heights City Business Pollinator - Biodiversity Award: Abbott Ireland, Loughboy Business Park, Kilkenny. COMMERCIAL Presentations were made by Cathaoirleach Kilkenny County Council Mary Hilda Cavanagh in the following commercial categories.
