The Indian women's cricket team created history by winning the 2025 Women's Cricket World Cup by beating South Africa at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side was awarded a whopping prize money, that is higher than what Australia earned in the 2023 Men's World Cup triumph. The overall prize pool for the tournament is a stunning $13.88 million (Rs. 122.49 crore), which is a 297% increase from the 2022 edition in New Zealand and more than the 2023 World Cup too. Alongside the prize money for their finishing spot, each team were also awarded a sum of $34,314 (Rs 30.28 Lakhs approx) for every group stage win.
