Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys have been very open about being willing to swing big ahead of the upcoming NFL trade deadline. After trading superstar pass rusher Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers, a follow-up move could make a lot of sense. With that in mind, a lot of speculation has been swirling about what the Cowboys could look to do in trade discussions. Many believe that Dallas could target acquiring a pass rusher. Others have suggested that more help in the running back room could be a wise decision. Either way, the Cowboys seem likely to be very active. According to Trey Wingo, the Cowboys have made inquiries to the Las Vegas Raiders about superstar pass rusher Maxx Crosby. That would be the definition of a home run swing for Dallas. “Breaking: according to sources the @dallascowboys have made inquiries with the @Raiders about a potential trade for Maxx Crosby,” Wingo wrote on X. Crosby would be exactly the kind of move the Cowboys need to make to go all-in on competing for a Super Bowl now. Depending on the price tag, Jones might be able to turn Parsons into a first-round pick, Maxx Crosby, and Kenny Clark. That trade would be a huge win for Dallas. So far this season with the Raiders, Crosby has played in seven games. He has recorded 28 total tackles to go along with four sacks, a forced fumble, an interception, and five defended passes. Crosby is one of the most underrated defensive superstars in the NFL and can impact the game on many different fronts. Dallas would be bringing in an ideal replacement for Parsons less than one year after trading him away. Granted, the Cowboys reaching out with interest in Crosby is far from the two sides being in serious talks. Wingo did not report how Las Vegas responded to the trade overtures from Dallas.
