Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) wants to know President Donald Trump’s IQ. While speaking to reporters en route to Japan on Monday, Trump said that Crockett and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) have a “low IQ,” going on to challenge the two lawmakers to pass a cognitive test that he took as part of his routine physical in April. “Those are really hard — they’re really aptitude tests, I guess in a certain way," Trump said on Air Force One following his visit to Malaysia. “Let AOC go against Trump. Let Jasmine go against Trump.” He continued: “I don’t think Jasmine — the first couple of questions are easy, a tiger, an elephant, a giraffe, you know. When you get up to about five or six, and then when you get up to 10 and 20 and 25, they couldn’t come close to answering any of those questions." During an appearance on CNN late Monday, Crockett responded to the dare. “He doesn’t even know what a low IQ is,” Crockett said on “The Source.” “He don’t even know which scores are low, and I can guarantee you that whatever score, if he’s taken one anytime recently, I’m sure his qualifies as low.” Crockett went on to say that Trump has “never been known to be an Einstein,” adding that he “probably” would not have been accepted into any college without “being born with a silver spoon.” “I am not worried about that, and I wish people would look at the fact that you have a president of the United States who consistently is obsessing over two women of color that are members of the House,” Crockett said. “You are the president. You have a lot more power than we do, but obviously you consistently feel threatened.” She added: “I don’t know what Black woman hurt him in his past, honey, but it is really taking him through it. But I really wish, for the sake of this country and honestly for the sake of the world, that he would focus on his real job and stop worrying about me. My constituents will worry about whether or not I have an adequate IQ.” Trump has continued to brag about his performance on his latest cognitive assessment, saying earlier this month that he received a “perfect score” while he announced his second checkup in six months to the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. “One of the doctors said he’s almost never seen a perfect score,” Trump said. “I had a perfect score. I had the highest score. And that made me feel good.” Trump told reporters on Monday that he had undergone a “perfect” MRI during his visit on Oct. 10. White House physician Capt. Sean Barbabella previously said in a memo that the president was in “exceptional health.” The exchange is not the first time that Trump has challenged Crockett and Ocasio-Cortez to take the tests. In August, he described them as “political hacks” and said they “should be forced to take a Cognitive Exam”
