Renovated haemodialysis unit inaugurated at KGH

Social Welfare Minister and Visakhaptnam in-charge Minister, Dola Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy inaugurated the renovated haemodialysis unit at the Department of Nephrology in King George Hospital (KGH) on Thursday. The renovation works were undertaken with the financial assistance of ₹2 crore provided by the NTPC as part of its CSR initiative. The Minister said the Nephrology Department of the KGH operates 13 sub-units. With the support of the NTPC now, an additional 10 new sub-units have been set up. All the necessary arrangements have been made to provide healthcare services to the patients suffering from critical illnesses, he said. Mayor Peela Srinivasa Rao, District Collector M.N. Harendhira Prasad, MLAs Velagapudi Ramakrishna Babu, P. Vishnukumar Raju, Ch Vamsikrishna Srinivas, NTR Health Services Trust Chairman Seethamraju Sudhakar, AMC Alumni Association Chairman Dr. Raviraju, Superintendent of KGH, I. Vani were present.
