The actress starred opposite Akshay Kumar in Mr Bond where she was admired for her innocent looks, graceful screen presence and effortless charm. Ruchika was considered one of the most promising newcomers when she entered Bollywood. Her expressive eyes and confident performances made her stand out in a sea of new faces. She began her journey with the 1991 film Yaara Dildara, opposite Asif Sheikh who is now famous for his role as Vibhuti Narayan in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain. Unfortunately, the movie didn’t do well at the box office. The film’s failure reportedly affected her deeply as she had pinned high hopes on it. Despite the failure, she didn’t give up and soon got a chance to share the screen with a young Akshay Kumar. Her pairing with Akshay in Mr Bond brought her into the limelight and earned her a fair amount of recognition. Despite appearing in several projects afterwards, success never came the way she had imagined. Gradually, she distanced herself from films and disappeared from the industry. After stepping away from Bollywood, Ruchika moved abroad and began a completely new chapter in her life. It has been nearly three decades since she last appeared on screen.
