Chennai-based Refex Industries Limited has received an order worth ₹30.12 crore from a major PSU power prodcuer. In an exchange filing, the company said that the scope of services would include the transportation of pond ash to NHAI Road Projects for a major power producer (PSU). The filing did not disclose the name of the power producer. The project is scheduled for execution within five months, with an extension period of up to four years, the filing added. Meanwhile, Refex Industries shares closed at ₹364.98 on the National Stock Exchange on Friday, up 4.21 per cent or ₹14.75 from the previous day’s close. Coal and ash management business grows The conglomerate, with interests across refrigerant gases, power trading, clean mobility, and renewable energy, entered the coal and ash management business in 2018, including the supply and transportation of coal, management of the coal yard, and transportation and disposal of ash generated from the incineration of coal in thermal power plants. In the quarter ended June 2025, Refex’s revenues from the ash and coal handling rose to ₹408 crore. Strong Q1 FY26 performance In Q1 FY26, the company had reported a 57 per cent increase in standalone net profit to ₹71 crore.
