Redragon isn’t known as a reputable manufacturer in the realm of ‘hardcore’ gaming keyboards, but the K719 PRO certainly shows that the keyboard does have appealing features to offer to its consumers.

Well, the keyboard’s packaging was impressive in terms of design, but I did receive a unit with damaged ends, likely due to the shipping process. This was a bit of a disappointing factor, considering that some of the keyboards I have reviewed in the past feature adequate protection measures like bubble wrap and solid packaging, but it isn’t something to blame on Redragon.
At first glance, you will be surprised by the color scheme, which includes a great white and light green throughout the unit. Certain keycaps, like the ‘Esc’ or the ‘Enter’ button, also have shades of dark green, which shows that the keyboard has a well-thought-out design language that does justice to consumers looking for an appealing design.
Inside the package, you get the standard keycap puller, a braided USB Type-C cable, and, interestingly, four extra switches, ‘engraved’ inside foam packaging, which was also great to see. Coupled with the five-layer dampening onboard, the typing experience isn’t too ‘clicky’, but it certainly doesn’t give the true feeling of a hardcore mechanical gaming keyboard, since custom linear switches aren’t exactly the way to go if you want an authentic experience.
However, with the price tag of the Redragon K719 PRO, you certainly cannot complain about the typing experience, and it is pleasant enough for the average consumer. For casual gaming scenarios, the K719 PRO will undoubtedly do the job. Still, if you want higher customization or ‘control’ over your typing experience, you might need to ramp up your budget and maybe check out Epomaker’s MagForce 68.
The four extra switches included in the package are certainly a great complement, and the striking design of the PBT keycaps gives the K719 PRO a great rating in appearance and experience.
