Reality star’s house sale after split

Seven years after separating, the warring Oldfields have listed their Northern Beaches marital home on 10,854 sqm (1.09 hectare) for sale via expressions of interest. The One Nation co-founder and his outspoken ex-wife, a software company account manager turned reality TV star on Foxtel’s Real Housewives of Sydney, have finalised their divorce after a tumultuous 18-year relationship. The Belrose property, which is home to the single father and the couple’s two teenage sons, adjoins the Garigal National Park with district views to the ocean. It has DA approval for 35 luxury over 55’s apartments – 12 x 2-bedrooms, 22 x 3-bedrooms and 1 x four-bedroom and 72 secure basement car spaces. Oldfield bought the home in 2011 for $1,890,000. The house has been tied up in legal entanglements related to the couple’s divorce for years. Lisa Oldfield announced the couple’s separation on Facebook in February 2019. “David and I will be getting a divorce. We aren’t sure what that looks like right now but we do know that we are going to be the most epic divorced parents ever. Henry and Albert will remain our top priority,” she said. “We aren’t interested in being ugly about any of the details that go along with this kind of thing. Please – we ask for your kindness, prayers and love as we work this out together.” This followed admissions from him in 2017 that the pair had been in a sexless marriage and sleeping in separate beds for over a year. After his revelation that the couple had not had sex for 18 months – “at least not with each other” – made headlines, she fired back on Real Housewives, “I love him as a dad. I hate him as a husband.” She later added that “love had died” within the marriage and admitted, post separation, that she was forced to rely on her parents for financial support. “No one who gets divorced comes out of it unscathed,” she said at the time. “My major asset, the family home, is frozen at the moment. I’ve always had a career and made good money but I’d never had to be responsible for the financial side.” She is now living in Narrabeen with her on/off partner and fiance of some years, businessman James “Jimbo” Laws. In 2021 Christine Johnston, Lisa Oldfield’s mother, launched proceedings in the Federal Court against her former son-in-law over an unpaid loan. The matter should be resolved with the sale of the property.
