Teddi Mellencamp has given her supporters a little more insight into her stage four cancer diagnosis.
On Sept. 22, the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star shared a brief update on her struggles.
“Mondays, am I right?” Mellencamp wrote on Instagram. “Emotions high. Love to everyone out there. If I haven’t responded to your text, I love you. I am just struggling.”
Mellencamp didn’t choose to elaborate on her health, instead opting to share more about the positives in her life and encourage her followers to do the same.
“How are y’all doing?” Mellencamp wrote. “ Would love to hear one of your positives from today. Mine is: I feel very grateful for the people in my life.”
Fans were quick to share words of encouragement and offer a little insight into their own personal victories in life.
One fan said, “Praying for you Teddi! I’m happy for the small things today. I took a bath and a sauna. Then a good movie and a tea. It’s the little things.”
Another said, “I am grateful my last scan shows my tumors have shrunk so much, YAY”
Mellencamp, 44, was diagnosed with stage 2 melanoma in 2022 and has been battling the diagnosis since. Since then, the reality TV star has had four brain tumors removed and multiple melanoma spots removed.
Back in April, Mellencamp confirmed that the cancer metastasized in her brain and lungs.
According to the National Cancer Institute, melanoma is a skin cancer that begins in melanocytes (cells that make the pigment melanin). It may begin in a mole (skin melanoma), but can also begin in other pigmented tissues, such as in the eye or in the intestines.”
Mellencamp is most known for her time on “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” and is also the daughter of rock legend, John Mellencamp. She is also a mother to three children — daughters Dove (5) and Slate (12), and a son, Cruz (10).
