Portland’s parks and community centers are where this city comes alive. They’re where my kids learned to ride bikes, where I’ve walked and talked with neighbors and where so many of us have found room to breathe in tough times. After nearly 20 years living in Northeast Portland and running a small business here, I’ve seen again and again how much these public spaces matter.
When I ran for City Council, I heard countless stories about how families rely on parks and community centers for affordable classes, safe places to play, or just a spot to meet up with friends. These are not luxuries. They’re part of what makes Portland work.
The Portland Parks Levy protects that. It keeps parks open, welcoming and safe. It ensures that community centers continue to host the kinds of programs that bring people together across neighborhoods and generations. And it secures a future where everyone, regardless of income or background, has access to spaces that build connection and belonging.
This November, join me in investing in the fabric of our city. Join me in voting yes on Measure 26-260.
