Raymond Gene Foscante passed surrounded by family with his wife Elaine of 61 years, children, and grandchildren by his side on 10/28/25 after an aggressive illness. Ray was born in New York City on 3/24/42, to Carl and Hazel Foscante. He graduated from Manhattan Prep at the age of 16 in 1958. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree (BS) in chemistry from Manhattan College in 1962 and a Doctor of Philosophy degree (PhD) in chemistry at Seton Hall University at the age of 24 in 1966. After his graduate work, Raymond became a commissioned officer in the United States Air Force at the Rocket Propulsion Laboratory. Ray and Elaine experienced military life from 1966 to 1969 at Edwards Air Force Base in California. Their first child, James Raymond Foscante, was born in 1967. They moved to Kansas City, where their daughter Aimee R. Foscante-Gwatney was born in 1971. While in Kansas. Ray earned a Juris Doctor (JD) in Law at the University of Missouri, Kansas City (UMKC). In 1975, they moved to Yorba Linda. Raymond had 12 patents from product development and loved traveling while working around the world. He enjoyed diversity and was intrigued by meeting and working with associates in other cultures. More than anything, Ray loved being a husband, father, and Pop Pop to his grandchildren. Ray said he was looking forward to having a great-granddaughter. He was informed that her middle name was to be Ray. Eloise Rei arrived shortly after his passing. Services will be held on November 29, 2025, at Loma Vista Memorial, Fullerton, CA.
