Baltimore Ravens star quarterback Lamar Jackson continues to showcase why he remains in the conversation as the best quarterback in the league and the best player in the league.

Jackson and company bounced back in a big way against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, which was propelled by his 225 passing yards, four touchdowns, and 13 rushing yards.
Jackson continues to deliver the ball with elite accuracy, speed, and cadence, making him truly a dual-threat in the NFL. Considering the Ravens’ passer secured 41 touchdowns and four interceptions in 2024, and already has six touchdowns and no interceptions in 2025, Jackson has jumped ahead in a massive NFL stat list.

In the overall career passer rating, the leader has been Aaron Rodgers for some time. Now, Jackson has taken over as the NFL’s leader in career passer rating.
According to Fox Sports, “At 102.6, Jackson is now the NFL’s career leader in passer rating, having inched ahead of Aaron Rodgers by a fraction of a point. After throwing for 41 touchdowns and only four interceptions last season, Jackson has six TD passes and no turnovers through Week 2 in 2025.”
Jackson is currently listed as No. 1 tied with Rodgers, but he is above Rodgers based on his actual 102.65 rating.
There is a big reason why Jackson has won the league MVP twice, and arguably should have secured his third MVP nod in 2024. Though that honor went to Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, Jackson remains an elite passer.
Speaking of the Bills, the Ravens dropped a 40-25 lead in Week 1 to the Bills, who stormed back and won 41-40. Despite the loss, Baltimore came back in a big way against the Browns.
It will be interesting to see how the Ravens evolve in 2025 and if they can finally get over the hump of losing to either the Kansas City Chiefs or the Bills in the playoffs.
Should Jackson continue to play in the way he has through two weeks of action, this could be his year to win league MVP and Super Bowl MVP.
