Baltimore Ravens star running back Derrick Henry did not hold back on his underwhelming performance against the Cleveland Browns in Week 2.Henry was coming off a strong statistical display in Week 1 against the Buffalo Bills. He racked up 18 carries for 169 yards and two touchdowns while recording a reception for 13 yards. However, that didn’t come to be. He only totaled 11 rushes for 23 yards and Cleveland’s run defense stifled him, but Baltimore adjusted well enough to obtain a 41-17 blowout win.Henry looked back on his struggles against the Browns as he and the Ravens prepared for their Week 3 matchup against the Detroit Lions. He made a clear message to reporters in the locker room on Thursday, looking to be better against Detroit’s defense.”Be better and never let that happen again. Me, myself, first be better, be more efficient and be more explosive,” Henry said.Baltimore still values Henry quite highly, standing tall as an All-Pro caliber running back. He’s even done so for five of the last six seasons, including an active streak of three consecutive years.The former NFL Offensive Player of the Year hasn’t missed a step since joining the Ravens in 2024. He’s done a remarkable job as quarterback Lamar Jackson’s co-star, torching defenses with their athleticism and physicality in the run game.They still need to take the next step as a contender. Baltimore suffered a heartbreaker to the Bills in the AFC Divisional Round last season, coming up short of returning to the AFC Championship game for the second straight year. And despite falling to Buffalo again in Week 1, the team remains capable of competing against the best teams in the league, as their star talent depends on it.The Ravens will continue preparation for their Week 3 encounter against the Lions.
