Rapper Arivu Says He 'RESPECTS Women's Voices' After Picture With Me Too Accused Vedan Gets Thumbs Down From Fans

Just a day ago, Mari Selvaraj received flak for working with sexual abuse accused Vedan in Bison. Soon, singer-rapper Arivu also faced flak on social media for standing with fellow rapper Vedan for a picture. Now, Arivu has responded to the issue on his social media handle. Rapper Arivu Posts FIRST Message After Picture With Me Too Accused Vedan Goes Viral The rapper said he shared the photo “in a personal/artistic moment” and that he “respects women’s voices”. “I believe truth must come out through due process,” he posted. Mari Selvaraj director is yet to respond to the backlash. The photo came after the trio released a new track titled Rekka Rekka Bison Kaalamaadan, headlined by Dhruv Vikram. Arivu’s response came a day after netizens posted critical remarks towards him and Mari Selvaraj. Many users expressed disappointment, stating that Vedan faces multiple accusations of sexual assault, including a rape case. Their views also extended to other artists in the industry who have worked with individuals facing similar allegations. Hirandas Murali, popularly known as Vedan has been accused by several women of sexual misconduct. That’s not all, Vedan was arrested earlier this year for the possession of narcotic substances. After his arrest, a doctor filed a rape complaint, alleging repeated abuse under the pretext of marriage. In addition to that two women pursuing their PhDs approached Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan reporting separate incidents of alleged misconduct by Vedan between December 2020 and 2021. Vedan was later granted anticipatory bail, with the court recognising ‘the seriousness of the charges’ and stated that custodial interrogation was ‘not required at this stage.’ Bison Kaalamaadan is gearing up for release on October 17. Anupama Parameshwaran, Pasupathy, Ameer, Lal, Rajisha Vijayan, Azhagam Perumal, Aruvi Madhan, and Anurag Arora play key roles in the sports drama.
