Rams' Puka Nacua to Undergo Scans After Suffering New Injury

The Los Angeles Rams picked up a huge victory on Sunday, improving to a 6-2 record after taking down the New Orleans Saints. The issue is that star receiver Puka Nacua was injured once again, which will now lead to him undergoing scans. After a day of securing 95 yards and a touchdown, the receiver did not play in the remainder of the game. Rams head coach Sean McVay spoke about the injury after the win, stating that Nacua could have come back into the game. “Puka’s good. I think he’s going to be good,” McVay said. “He got his ribs. He could’ve come back in the game, but we kind of had command. Felt like it was the smart thing. He could’ve come back in, but we erred on the side of caution,” McVay told reporters. Despite there not being a lot of concern for the dynamic pass catcher, it has been revealed that he will undergo scans to be sure the rib injury he suffered is not significant. SEATTLE, WASHINGTON – NOVEMBER 03: Puka Nacua #17 of the Los Angeles Rams looks on prior to a game against the Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field on November 03, 2024 in Seattle, Washington. More news: Raiders’ Maxx Crosby Ignites Trade Speculation With Message to Fans Per a report by NFL.com, “WR Puka Nacua is scheduled to have a scan for the rib injury he suffered in Sunday’s win over the Saints, head coach Sean McVay told reporters. McVay added that he’s ‘optimistic’ about Nacua’s situation.” Nacua may not miss time, but should the scan reveal an injury that is more significant than McVay believes, the Rams’ offensive playmaker may be sidelined. The Rams have been on a heater, securing three straight wins, and they have all done so without Nacua. He suffered an ankle injury in Week 6, which kept him sidelined through to Week 9, when he made his return. It would be a horrible situation for the Rams if Nacua were sidelined by another injury. Even in his return, he showcased why he is such a dangerous weapon for the offense and Matthew Stafford. Even with nearly two missed games, Nacua is still third in the NFL with 711 total receiving yards. He needs to remain healthy to give the Rams the best shot at contending in the stacked NFC.
