Actor Rajat Bedi is once again hogging the headlines after his powerful performance as Jaraj Saxena in the Netflix show The Ba***ds of Bollywood. But this time, it’s not just his role that has the internet buzzing, it’s his daughter, Vera Bedi, who stole the spotlight. While Vera has remained away from the limelight until now, she became an overnight social media sensation after accompanying her father to the glamorous premiere of Aryan Khan’s directorial debut in Mumbai.
Ever since a video of the family went viral, social media has been swooning over his daughter, with many drawing widespread comparisons between her and actor Kareena Kapoor Khan. Sitting down for an interview with a media outlet, Rajat Bedi addressed the sudden attention, admitting that it has been a “new experience” for the family.

Speaking to Hindustan Times, Rajat said, “My whole family has got into the spotlight. It’s not just me alone. My children are exposed right now because of me and the show. They have gone viral, and it’s crazy.”
On the comparisons being made between Vera and Kareena Kapoor, the actor added, “She is just overwhelmed… because that attention is not just from India, but global. People are calling from America, Canada, London, Dubai, everywhere. She is so simple, and she has never been exposed to anything like this. This is the first time in her life that she has gone to a red carpet event with her father.”
Rajat Bedi On Kids Dealing With The Attention
Rajat has been part of the film industry since childhood, and is well aware of the perks and downsides that come with the spotlight, including the intense public attention. On being asked if he has spoken about this with his children, Rajat said that they remain grounded despite the overnight attention.
“I have not yet spoken to them about how to deal with it. But they know they have to be humble and respectful with any and everyone. You’ll never see my children have any attitude or anything with anyone… That being said, this is all so new to them, and they are also overwhelmed,” he stated.

Rajat also revealed that his son, Vivaan Bedi, has been working closely with Aryan Khan for over two years in The Ba***ds of Bollywood and is now preparing to enter the film industry officially.
“Planning is going on to launch him right now. So, God willing, you’ll see something on that soon,” he shared with excitement.
As for Vera, a Bollywood career wasn’t initially on her radar but Rajat admitted, “She is thinking about it. She never did, but now she is.”

The Ba***ds of Bollywood is described as a fast-paced, edgy and self-aware drama, with stylised visuals, sharp humour and an underdog narrative. Set in the glamorous and cutthroat world of Bollywood, the film follows Aasmaan Singh (Lakshya), an ambitious outsider determined to carve a space in Bollywood.
Directed by Aryan Khan under the banners of Red Chillies Entertainment, the series also features an ensemble cast including Bobby Deol, Lakshya, Sahher Bambba, Manoj Pahwa, Mona Singh, Manish Chaudhari, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, Vijayant Kohli and Gautami Kapoor.
The film also has surprise cameos by Bollywood heavyweights Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, SS Rajamouli, Emraan Hashmi, Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh and Karan Johar.
