Raiders Make Final Decision on Brock Bowers Ahead of Colts Match

The Las Vegas Raiders ran into a situation with star tight end Brock Bowers, as his knee injury has seemingly not healed in a great way. Bowers was questionable to play against the Indianapolis Colts, and now the team has made its final decision on his ability to suit up in Week 5.

Raiders TE Brock Bowers officially is inactive today due to the PCL injury and bone bruise on his knee. The Raiders will consider him week to week and will re-evaluate him this week to determine whether he can play next Sunday vs. the Titans.— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) October 5, 2025

Per multiple reports, Bowers has been ruled out due to a PCL injury and a bone bruise that has impacted his big-play ability since suffering the injury in Week 1.

Even worse, it appears that Bowers has not allowed himself the proper time to heal. Despite doctors wanting him to rest, the star tight end has ignored that advice and played in every game.

Bowers is clearly struggling, as he has not had huge games since he secured 103 yards in Week 1. Since then, he has not been able to secure anything over 50 yards. His most successful game since Week 1 was in Week 4 when he logged 46 yards.

Bowers adds a massive element to the Raiders’ pass game, but he will need to heal to get back to his bigger production. It will be interesting to see how Pete Carroll handles the situation and if he will force Bowers to heal before getting back on the field.

The Raiders will be without Bowers for their Week 5 matchup against the Colts, but he might need to sit for Week 6 as well.

Las Vegas is currently struggling and has secured a 1-3 record. Geno Smith has tossed 948 yards thus far, but he has six touchdowns to seven interceptions this season.

The Raiders need to figure out plenty on the offensive side of things, and losing Bowers will certainly impact the passing game, but he needs time to rest before his injuries become far worse.
