Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday alleged large-scale electoral malpractice in the 2024 Haryana Assembly elections, alleging that a Brazilian model registered as a voter in Haryana 22 times on at least 10 different booths. He also claimed that the BJP’s victory was ensured through “fake votes” and “massive manipulation” of postal ballots. “Congress lost the election by 22,000 votes, but who is this lady? She votes 22 times in Haryana, in 10 different booths in Haryana. She has multiple names,” Rahul Gandhi said. “That means this is a centralised operation. The lady is a Brazilian model. That’s a stock photograph, and she is one of 25 lakh such records in Haryana,” he claimed. #WATCH | Delhi: Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi says, “…Congress lost the election by 22,000 votes…Who is this lady?…She votes 22 times in Haryana, in 10 different booths in Haryana. He further claimed that Congress lost by just 22,000 votes, while there was a total vote difference of 1.18 lakh. “There has been a 25 lakh vote chori in Haryana, 12.5 per cent fake votes. Around 93,000 addresses were invalid,” he alleged, accusing the Election Commission of restricting access to voter data. #WATCH | Delhi: Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi says, “…We have crystal clear proof that 25 lakh voters (in Haryana) are fake, that they either don’t exist or they are duplicate or are designed in a way for anybody to vote…1 in 8 voters in Haryana are fake, that’s 12.5%…” pic.twitter.com/Tlo5wsTZyY — ANI (@ANI) November 5, 2025 Gandhi said he was “questioning the Election Commission and the democratic process with 100 per cent proof,” calling the discrepancies “unbelievable.” “I want the young people, Gen Z of India, to understand this clearly because this is about your future. I am questioning the EC, the democratic process in India, so I am doing it with 100 per cent proof,” Rahul Gandhi said. “We are pretty sure that a plan was put in motion to convert the Congress’s landslide victory into a loss. Please notice the smile on his (Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini) face and notice the ‘vyavastha‘ that he is talking about,” Rahul Gandhi said, as the auditorium played a clip from the BJP’s earlier press conference. #WATCH | Delhi: Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi says, “…I want the young people, GenZ of India to understand this clearly because this is about your future…I am questioning the EC, democractic process in India so I am doing it with 100% proof. The Election Commission has the data on how many times she voted. This is the reason the Election Commission destroyed the CCTV footage,” Rahul Gandhi said. We suspected that this is not happening in individual constituencies, but at the state level and at the national level,” Rahul Gandhi said. “We got a lot of complaints in Haryana, from our candidates, that something was wrong and not working. Their predictions all went upside down. We had experienced this in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, but we decided to zoom in on Haryana and go into details about what had happened there,” he added. “All (exit) polls pointed to a Congress victory (in Haryana). The other things that were surprising to us were that for the first time in Haryana’s electoral history ever, postal votes were different from the actual voting,” the Congress MP said. “This had never happened in Haryana before. So, we thought that let’s go into details. When I first saw this information that you are going to see, I struggled to believe it. I was in shock. I told the team to cross-check multiple times,” he said. The Congress leader had earlier warned of exposing what he termed a “hydrogen bomb” of evidence related to voter fraud, after earlier revealing irregularities in Mahadevpura, which he called an “atom bomb.” ALSO READ | ‘Army Shouldn’t Be Dragged Into Politics’: Chirag Paswan Calls Out Rahul Gandhi For Caste Remark
