Deepfake scams on the rise
Experts say this type of scam, known as deepfakes, is on the rise worldwide. Deepfakes use AI to manipulate images and audio to make content appear real, often targeting celebrities and public figures. Other well-known individuals affected include Mario Casas, Taylor Swift, Rosalía, Pedro Sánchez, and Lamine Yamal.
Cybersecurity warning
Cybersecurity specialists warn that as technology advances, it is becoming harder for everyday users to spot manipulated videos. Nadal stressed that he does not endorse any of the messages or campaigns in the videos and urged people to verify sources before trusting online investment advice.
Staying alert
The warning highlights the growing risks of AI-driven scams and the need for users to stay alert.
