Race Across The World contestants Sioned and Fin have shared a rare relationship update months after their ‘really tough’ time on the series came to an end.
The young couple from Wales competed in the fifth season of the hit BBC programme, which saw five teams of two attempt to travel from the Great Wall Of China to the southernmost point of India.
The challenge lies in the fact that participants rely solely on a small budget to get them to the £20,000 cash prize, and they cannot use bank cards or smartphones.
Mother and son Caroline and Tom came out on top in the most recent series as the first pair to reach the final checkpoint, with sisters Elizabeth and Letitia just 19 minutes behind.
Fin and Sioned came third, and brothers Brian and Melvyn followed suit.
But their time on the programme was not without its hardships, and the gripping series regularly sees contestants tearful and struggling along the way.

Speaking on the red carpet at the National Television Awards last Wednesday, the couple opened up about the impact of the show on their relationship.
Offering a rare glimpse into their connection, Sioned explained how their time on the programme had brought them closer together.
‘We’re definitely closer after it,’ Sioned said, adding: ‘We’ve not really been apart a lot since.’
Fin agreed, saying: ‘You don’t have a phone, you’re with each other 24/7. There’s no break. If you’re on a bus, you’re side by side for 12 or 13 hours, so you kind of grow closer together.’
Sioned looked back on the most difficult moments of the series, one of which occurred when the couple entered India for the first time.
Only 19 at the time, Sioned began to cry as she saw ‘dirty and skinny’ children living in poverty in Varanasi.

But their time on the programme was not without its hardships, and the gripping series regularly sees contestants tearful and struggling along the way

Speaking on the red carpet at the National Television Awards last Wednesday, the couple opened up about the impact of the show on their relationship

Offering a rare glimpse into their connection, Sioned explained how their time on the programme had brought them closer together
‘I think it was very evident on camera that [my hardest moment] was entering India,’ Sioned continued.

‘It was really tough for me, just mad on the senses. But Fin helped me through that.’
But the couple revealed they ‘would love’ to appear on the programme again, if given the opportunity, and that the show’s cast reunites regularly as ‘one big family’.
‘At the time, if you had asked me that, I would have said no,’ said Sioned on returning. ‘But now that I’ve been back and settled down, I’d love to go on again.’
Earlier this year, the young couple gave a sweet update about their relationship, with Fin saying: ‘It was a good way to see if we can do it forever or this isn’t for us, let’s split up.
‘But that wasn’t the case, we are still together and we’re going well. I think that was a big challenge and the best challenge we could’ve had together.’
