The area with fewest reported break-ins in the 12 months to July was Chelmsley Wood on the city’s eastern edge with 43. Numbers were also low in Nechells and Weoley. It was less of a surprise to see parts of Sutton Coldfield high on the list, as one of the most affluent parts of Birmingham. A spokesperson added: “We fully understand the devastating impact burglary can have on those affected whether in their home or business environment.”
