During a visit to ongoing road projects, he reviewed the progress and expressed satisfaction with their completion. However, he directed relevant departments to expedite remaining tasks, including the installation of durable tiles along the road’s edges and the finalization of lane markings, to further improve road safety and aesthetics. The commissioner noted that the administration had successfully completed the carpeting of one kilometer of Naban Road, marking a significant step toward providing smooth, high-quality infrastructure for the public. Just a month ago, he had directed the rehabilitation of Naban Road, and the project was completed ahead of schedule. He added that the reconstruction of Naban Road has greatly eased travel for residents moving from Narwala Road and the main graveyard area toward Ghulam Muhammad Abad, providing them with a smooth and durable route. Furthermore, he highlighted the revitalization of the stretch from Nishatabad Bridge to Sheikhupura Road, an area long plagued by wear and tear. This section has now been fully rehabilitated using modern cold milling technology, ensuring safer and more convenient travel for residents. Over 800 feet of asphalt work has been completed on this route, he said. Looking ahead, the commissioner revealed plans under the Provincial Annual Development Program to construct a high-standard road connecting Nishatabad to Gattwala, further expanding the city’s improved road network. He also announced the rehabilitation of 20 additional city roads using cold milling technology, ensuring consistency in quality and durability. In addition, work is underway to activate streetlights, improve zebra crossings, enhance central medians, and finalize lane markings to transform Faisalabad’s urban landscape into a model of modern, safe, and efficient mobility. Residents have expressed their gratitude to the divisional administration for fulfilling its commitment to development and convenience.
