Doha, September 16 (QNA) – In the latest session of the Science Book Forum at Qatar National Library (QNL), a lecture was held, discussing the idea of achieving the impossible, if we can reprogram the cell, why can’t we invent a new concept of success presented by Dr. Rana Dajani, a scientist specializing in molecular biology, a social entrepreneur, and an advocate for science education and women’s empowerment in the Arab world.
Dr. Dajani emphasized in her lecture that success is not a fixed concept, but a renewed vision embodied in the pursuit of change and contribution to shaping a brighter future for the planet and humanity.
She reviewed milestones from her diverse journey as a scientist, researcher, and social activist.
For her part, QNL’s Manager of the Children and Young Adults’ Section Maram Al Mahmoud said that the library spares no effort in affirming that its mission goes beyond being a place for books. It is an oasis for learning, exploration, and creativity.
The goal of organizing such events is to provide community members with the opportunity to engage with influential thinkers, explore innovative ideas, and Dr. Rana Dajani’s journey confirms that true success is the ability to create change, make an impact, and instill resilience and determination in everyone.
The lecture is part of the activities of the Science Book Forum affiliated with the library, which aims to be an open platform for dialogue on issues of science and innovation, and to encourage lifelong reading and learning, especially among youth and young adults. (QNA)
