Doha, October 28 (QNA) - The Qatari Businesswomen Association (QBWA) held discussions with the Doha International Family Institute (DIFI), a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, to explore avenues of cooperation and exchange of knowledge and expertise in areas related to family, childhood, and women's empowerment.QBWA's Vice President Aisha Hussein Al Fardan stated during an introductory meeting with the Institute, represented by DIFI's Executive Director Dr. Sharifa Nauman Al Emadi, that the meeting aligns with the Association's ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration with research and social institutions in the country, in line with the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.She noted that through its extensive network of businesswomen and professionals, QBWA seeks to support the Institute's programs and initiatives that contribute to family stability and empower women to actively participate in national development.For her part, Dr. Sharifa Al Emadi presented a detailed overview of the DIFI's work and upcoming projects, emphasizing its pivotal role in shaping social policies through scientific research and initiatives that integrate family-related issues into national planning and propose legislation to protect families.She highlighted that the collaboration between the two entities reflects the synergy between scientific research and fieldwork, affirming that DIFI plays a central national role in supporting decision-makers by producing evidence-based research and policies that promote the well-being and stability of Qatari families.During the meeting, several proposals were discussed to enhance cooperation between both sides, including the Association's participation in the Institute's research, involvement in the upcoming family wellbeing conference organized by the Institute next year, joint workshops, and support for sustainable social projects aimed at economically empowering women without compromising their familial roles.The two parties also agreed to launch awareness initiatives aimed at strengthening partnerships with both public and private sectors, to reinforce the concept of a cohesive family as a fundamental pillar of national development.The meeting concluded with an emphasis on the importance of continued communication and exchange of perspectives between both sides, and the development of a joint implementation plan for the upcoming phase, encompassing research and development initiatives that support Qatari families and enhance the role of women as active partners in the national development journey.
