Qatar Participates in MILSET Expo-Sciences International 2025 with Innovative Projects

Doha, September 28 (QNA) – The State of Qatar, represented by the Qatar Science Club (QSC), participated in the MILSET Expo-Sciences International (ESI) 2025, held in Abu Dhabi, the UAE, and runs until Oct. 3, 2025.

Qatar’s participation in this global scientific event underscores the strong ties between the Gulf states in the fields of education and science, and highlights the leading role played by the Ministry of Sports and Youth and the Qatar Science Club in fostering scientific innovation among young people, in line with Qatar’s National Vision 2030.

The Qatari delegation will present a range of innovative projects across various fields within science, technology, and engineering, as part of the country’s commitment to supporting youth and encouraging their innovation and creativity in scientific disciplines.

The participation includes six diverse scientific projects by club members. Among them is a project on mapping deep coral reefs by Mohammed Hassan Al Sayed, a project on a smart, programmable facial recognition device by Daieej Essa Al Binali.

Club member AlJawhara Mohammed Al Shammari contributed with a drone designed for monitoring fungal diseases in greenhouses, while Fatima Rashid Al Ruhaimi presented a project focused on designing sustainable flooring using recycled materials.

Members Khalid Waleed Fadel Saleh and Hamad Abdullah Saad Al Nuaimi showcased an architectural design project featuring a 3D model of a building that incorporates passive cooling techniques and energy efficiency. Meanwhile, Noura Hassan Marzouq Al Sulaiti and Dana Aqeel Amin Al Youssef participated with a smart helmet project designed to measure dimensions using artificial intelligence.

For her part, head of the Qatari delegation Fatima Al Mohannadi expressed pride in the students’ participation in the prestigious international science event, stating that their presence reflects positively on Qatari youth and highlights their ability to innovate and be creative.

Al Mohannadi added that this participation serves as a platform for exchanging experiences and building scientific and cultural partnerships that benefit the nation.

In turn, technical supervisor of the delegation, Eng. Sheikha Al Sada, emphasized that the Qatar Science Club aims to ensure that these projects reflect the latest scientific trends in the fields of science, programming, engineering innovation, and sustainable energy.

The Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) aims to foster the exchange of scientific and cultural ideas among young people, highlighting their efforts in scientific research and innovation.

The fair also features workshops, conferences, and parallel youth sessions to promote knowledge sharing.

The Qatar Scientific Club is keen to participate in the MILSET Expo, held every two years in one of the member countries, due to its significant impact on developing scientific skills, fostering a spirit of innovation, and broadening participants’ horizons through international engagement.

This contributes to preparing a distinguished generation capable of advancing the nation through science and technology. (QNA)
