Kuwait, October 30 (QNA) – The State of Qatar participated in the fifth consultative meeting of Their Excellencies the GCC Ministers of Trade and Industry, held in the State of Kuwait. HE Minister of State for Foreign Trade Affairs at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Sayed headed the Qatari delegation to the meeting. The agenda focused on exchanging experiences and discussing the challenges facing entrepreneurship in the GCC countries, reviewing initiatives supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and exploring ways to enhance innovation and entrepreneurship in the Gulf. Separately, HE Al Sayed met with HE Chris Bryant, Minister of State at the Department for Business and Trade of the United Kingdom, on the sidelines of the ministerial committee meetings of the Trade and Industry Cooperation Committees held in the State of Kuwait. During the meeting, topics of mutual interest were reviewed with the aim of strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the commercial, investment, and industrial sectors, and ways to support and develop this cooperation. The finalization of the free trade agreement with the United Kingdom was also discussed.
