Q&A: A.T.L.D.V. Talks Their Latest R&B Drop, “Screamin”

A.T.L.D.V. is a dynamic R&B collective out of Augusta, Georgia, repping the state’s rich musical legacy. Comprised of Ike Nyce, Amy Christine, and Nako Devincci, the group blends soulful R&B, pop, and hip-hop into a sound that’s bold, and timeless, with a modern edge. With their sultry new single “Screamin’” and the album The Future of R&B Bands Vol. 2, A.T.L.D.V. is pushing creative boundaries while honoring the spirit of iconic groups that came before.

What is your name and what city do you rep?

A.T.L.D.V. (Artist That’s Living a Dream Vision) represents Georgia and all its vibrant cities. We’re a “Down South Georgia Band” (D.S.G.B.) collective, primarily based out of Augusta, GA. The band is comprised of Ike Nyce, Amy Christine, and Nako Devincci, all of whom are artists in their own right. We’ve come together under the A.T.L.D.V. umbrella to create a collaborative body of work. The concept behind A.T.L.D.V. is to provide artists like us with the opportunity to build a body of work, while also offering a platform for each individual artist to develop their own brand and pursue individual projects, as well as record as a unit. Our aim is to bring in new talent over the years, building the brand name like Earth Wind & Fire, focusing on the collective brand rather than a particular artist within it.

Tell us about your latest releases, what inspired you to create them?

Our latest single is titled “Screamin’,” featuring our very own Amy Christine and D.C.’s April Sampe’. It’s a very sensual song that explores the freedom to express oneself passionately in the bedroom. Our overall album, “The Future of R&B Bands Vol. 2,” is a continuation of our evolving artistry as a band. It intricately weaves together our individual talents to offer our audience and fans a glimpse into the dreams and visions that inspire the music we create together.

What is unique about you and your music?

What’s unique about Ike Nyce is his role as the captain of the ship, bringing experience to guide our unit towards our goals. What sets our music apart is that we all come from diverse backgrounds. When we combine these backgrounds in our music, it creates a sound that transcends multiple generations and cultures. We all share a love for R&B, but we also appreciate many other genres, and we’re not afraid to incorporate them into our records. This futuristic mindset allows our music to be distinctive yet relatable. Amy Christine, the youngest in the band, brings a pop vocal appeal to our songs and is a driving force within the group. Nako Devincci is the hip-hop element, the “wild child” of the band, infusing flavor into all of our musical offerings.

What shaped your music?

We believe what truly shapes our music is when we enter a creative mode; the ideas flow naturally. For instance, the material we’re currently developing for our next project is coming together much more easily than our last one. We all contribute our best ideas, and then we come together to add our unique “sauce,” much like seasoning a gumbo.

When did you realize you were going to make music professionally?

For Ike Nyce, the realization came after leaving the Navy. A childhood friend, who knew Ike could dance, started a band and asked him to sing lead. Ike tried it, enjoyed it, and from there, they began writing songs, and the rest is history. Amy Christine knew she wanted to pursue music professionally when she started acting and dancing as a young child, eventually moving into singing and modeling in college. Nako Devincci realized his calling after leaving Job Corps; he was determined to gain a trade but was even more focused on building a career in the music business, writing impactful hip-hop songs.

What type of music do you listen to?

We listen to a wide variety of music, especially when we discover new artists like Benson Boone, the K-Pop band The Rose, or Joyner Lucas just to name a few.

What inspires you to write music?

We are inspired by the music itself, and sometimes it’s the melodies and ideas we hear in our heads that we feel compelled to bring to life. In fact, we are currently in the studio working on a brand new project for the first quarter of 2026.

What do you do when you don’t do music (creative or otherwise) and that you are passionate about?

While music is a 24/7 endeavor for us, Ike also runs a merchandising company that provides merchandise for other artists in the industry, which keeps us on tour throughout the year with many venues. Beyond that, we are passionate about helping children in the community in any way we can, often through events with the Ronald McDonald House. This is our way of giving back to the community.

Happiness to you is…

For us, happiness is, first and foremost, the love of God, then the love of family, followed by self-love, and finally, the love for music.

What do you wish you were told when you first started making music that you think would help artists just starting out?

We would advise other artists to understand the truth about the music industry. Many artists tend to focus solely on the creative process of making a song, overlooking the business aspects required to turn that song into a hit record. It’s the business first, then the song, not the other way around. With our new single “Screamin’,” we want to extend our gratitude to the program directors who took a risk on an indie artist like us, giving us an add to their stations when major label acts often have the power and influence to get their records played first. We truly appreciate those program directors who were early believers in the record, such as Minnesota Fattz of iHeartMedia, Steve Crumbley in Charleston, SC, and Stan Branson, to name a few. These program directors & our record rep Craig Davis have been instrumental in building our brand and music on their stations with all of our singles, and we are incredibly grateful to them and all the new stations and program directors who are now playing our new single “Screamin’” on their platforms.

Any last words for the readers?

We would greatly appreciate your support for R&B bands, groups, and duos. We are in an industry where R&B bands, groups, and duos haven’t been prominently featured on radio since acts like The Fugees and The Black Eyed Peas. However, there are many talented bands and groups out here who truly need your support, and we are one of them. To all the radio program directors, music directors, and mix show DJs, we implore your support for our record “Screamin’.” It is out now, and with your help, we are “screamin’” all the way to #1. Be great and love God first.
