Q2 profits of Suzlon Energy rise 6-fold on deferred tax gains & record deliveries

Aided by revenues from Wind Turbine Generators and deferred tax gains, the net profit of Suzlon Energy Ltd rose six times to ₹1,279 crore during the second quarter of financial year 2025-26. The Revenue from operations of the company rose 85 per cent year-on-year to ₹3,865 crore during the quarter. Revenues from Wind Turbine Generators more than doubled to ₹3,240 crore, while that from foundry and forging business rose by 46 per cent to ₹121 crore. The income from operation and maintenance services also grew by two per cent to ₹575 crore. The company stated that an Incremental Deferred Tax Assets (DTA) of ₹717 crore has been recognised in the second quarter which resulted in a Profit After Tax of ₹1,279 crore. JP Chalasani, Chief Executive Officer, Suzlon Group, stated in an official release, “We are happy to report highest-ever Q2 deliveries in India which led to strong performance and profitability. Our orderbook of 6.2 GW reaffirms the strength of our strategy and execution.” The company registered the highest ever second quarter India deliveries of 565 MW, up from 256 MW during the same period last fiscal.
