Public warned against fake websites, social media platforms on SKAS 2025

By DayakDaily Team

KUCHING, Sept 10: The Sarawak government is urging the public to exercise caution following the emergence of fake websites and social media platforms falsely claiming to provide application checks for the Sarawak Basic Necessities Assistance (SKAS) 2025.

The government stressed that all official information, registration, and announcements related to SKAS are available exclusively through the official portal at https://www.sarawak.gov.my/web/home/p_service_catalogue/757 and the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS) platforms.

It has come to the government’s attention that a suspicious link, https://talentekstra.biz.id/bantuanskas2025/, and misleading content from a TikTok account, https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSD1USQX9/, have been circulating online.

Investigations have confirmed that both the website and the account are fraudulent.

The public is reminded that SKAS does not collect personal data through any channel other than the official portal.

To protect the security of personal information, the government strongly advises obtaining updates and details only from verified official sources.

As such, members of the public are urged to remain vigilant when browsing websites or social media for information concerning SKAS or any other programmes and initiatives under the Sarawak government. — DayakDaily
