The line-up for the Late Late Show Country Music Special has been announced, and there’s some big name celebrities in the mix.
The special is celebrating ten years this year, and they have pulled out all the stops. Alongside the biggest stars in Irish country music, who will take to the stage for a night of chart-topping hits, some A-Listers will also chat to Patrick Kielty.
Priscilla Presley will sit down with Patrick to chat about her memoir Softly As I Leave You . Priscilla opens up about her marriage to Elvis, rediscovering herself following their divorce and her unwavering commitment to protecting his legacy.
She’ll speak candidly about her relationship with her daughter Lisa Marie, who sadly passed away in 2023. She will discuss Lisa’s marriage to the King of Pop Michael Jackson and explain how she has found joy in life again, despite all the tragedy that she’s faced.
Hollywood actor John C. Reilly will also join the line-up to share his deep connection with Irish music and culture and along with stories from his recent trip to Co. Kerry.
He’ll talk about the influences that inspired his latest musical venture, Mister Romantic and give viewers a glimpse of what to expect from his upcoming performance at Dublin’s Ambassador Theatre.
As for the Irish country music stars, fans will be delighted with all of the performances due to take place.
The Three Amigos and the Rejoice Choir will perform a musical tribute to Elvis with a country twist.
Daniel O’Donnell, Declan Nerney, Susan McCann and Philomena Begley will join Patrick on the Late Late couch to celebrate ten years of The Late Late Country Music Special.
As is tradition, one artist will be surprised as they are inducted into The Late Late Show Country Music Hall of Fame, joining the ranks of Irish country music royalty.
There will also be other show-stopping performances from Ireland’s finest country stars.
Previous inductees to The Late Late Show Country Music Hall of Fame include Big Tom in 2016, Daniel O’Donnell in 2019, Philomena Begley in 2020 , Margo in 2023 , Declan Nerney in 2023 and Susan McCann 2024.
The Late Late Show airs on Friday nights at 9:35 pm on RTÉ One and the RTÉ Player.
