Priority will be to check ganja, drug peddling, says new Krishna SP

V. Vidya Sagar Naidu assumed charge as the new Superintendent of Police of Krishna District at police headquarters here on Monday (September 15, 2025).

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Naidu said that priority would be given to check ganja and drug peddling in the district and awareness programmes would be conducted at education institutions against drugs. Police will take measures to control crimes and provide security to women in the district, the SP said.

Later, he met Eluru Range Inspector General of Police G.V.G. Ashok Kumar. He reviewed the law and order situation in a meeting with Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP-Administration) V.V. Naidu, ASP (Armed Reserve) P. Satyanarayana, and the DSPs.
