A nutrition expert has shared insights into the health and slimming advantages of the morning meal the Princess of Wales reportedly enjoys daily. Kate is believed to start each morning with a simple bowl of porridge or oatmeal. A specialist from BarBend has revealed why this makes an excellent breakfast option.
They claimed that the gradual energy release from oats “keeps Kate filled up and provides enough fuel for her to attend Royal events, exercise and chase after her three children”. It’s also very easy to copy and cheap to buy from the supermarkets.
The Princess is renowned for her regular fitness regime and enjoys cardio training, strength work, cycling, rowing and yoga, reports the Mirror. Oats “can be great exercise fuel, as they release energy throughout the entire workout”.
Kate is also thought to mix things up with antioxidant-packed smoothies at breakfast, which “help her maintain a natural glow and healthy skin,” according to the specialists. A wholesome and flavoursome morning smoothie might blend “kale, spirulina, matcha, spinach, romaine and blueberries into a delicious blend”.
Eating oats for breakfast offers plenty of health benefits including weight management, specialists at Healthline claimed. Oats are “a delicious breakfast food, also very filling” and they are “among the healthiest grains on earth”. Porridge is “a great source of important vitamins, minerals, fibre and antioxidants” and they are “very filling which may help you lose weight,” the health website adds.
Benefits of oats for weight management:
Oats are packed with fibre, particularly beta-glucan, which soaks up water, creates a gel in your stomach, and keeps you feeling full for a longer time, helping to lower your total calorie consumption. Thanks to their low glycemic index, oats gradually release sugar into your bloodstream, avoiding those spikes that can trigger more hunger and cravings.
Loaded with protein, vital vitamins, and minerals, oats offer great nutrition while staying low in calories, making them a great choice for weight loss.
Benefits of oats for skin health:
Oats are packed with antioxidants that fight off free radicals, which can harm skin cells and lead to ageing signs such as wrinkles and sun spots. The starches and beta-glucan found in oats assist your skin in holding onto moisture, ensuring it stays hydrated and avoids dryness. Oats can help lessen skin irritation and inflammation, potentially soothing issues like acne and enhancing the skin’s texture.
The Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, is quite the sportswoman with a particular fondness for tennis, hitting the courts “almost daily”. As patron of the Lawn Tennis Association, she even took to the court with tennis legend Roger Federer.
Kate and Prince William are also said to enjoy their own private tennis court at Anmer Hall in Norfolk, which is perfect for a family match or two. A Royal source claimed: “Once their school work from Thomas’s Battersea has been dealt with satisfactorily, both George and Charlotte enjoy tennis lessons on their green court. Kate plays almost daily with the children and they like their practice sessions with her.”
Juliana Leonardi, senior personal trainer at David Lloyd Kensington, added: “The key to achieving a lean, toned body like the Princess of Wales without bulking is to do several reps of low weights. I definitely believe the Princess weight trains. There are so many benefits to weight training, from making you leaner and stronger to improving your bone density, burning fat and helping with posture,” she told HELLO.
