Princess Hotel Says It remains ‘Open and Fully Operational’ Following a public notice from the Belize Tourism Board (BTB) announcing the closure of the Ramada Belize City Princess Hotel, management of the Princess Casino Belize City has issued a statement clarifying that the casino remains open and fully operational. In its release, the casino stated: “The management of Princess Casino Belize City wishes to inform our valued customers and the general public that the Princess Casino remains open. Our operations continue as normal, and we remain committed to providing a safe, enjoyable, and first-class entertainment experience for all our guests.” The clarification comes amid public confusion after the BTB cited Section 28(2)(b) of the Hotel and Tourist Accommodation Act in ordering the hotel’s closure. Section 28(2)(b) states, “Registrar may cancel a licence and or direct a hotel or tourist accommodation to be closed on any of the following grounds-…(b) the failure of the proprietor to obtain or to renew a licence.” The notice was publised on the 3875 Friday, October 17th, 2025 Friday issue.
