Prince Harry tells Joss Stone he ‘loves UK schools’ amid rumours of family return

Prince Harry asked his friend Joss Stone about her recent move back to the UK while stressing “how wonderful the schools are”, the singer revealed.

Sources say the prince is considering returning with his family to ensure his children Archie, six, and Lilibet, four, receive a British education.

The Duke of Sussex also visited his father during a four-day visit to the UK last week, who is said to be “delighted” at the prospect.

The prince caught up with Joss Stone at reception for the WellChild Awards at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London on September 8.

She told Hello!: “He also asked about how we were settling back in and was genuinely interested in our move home. He’s just very warm and down to earth, as always.

“Maybe Harry will move back too. That would be nice. He was saying how wonderful the schools are here and how important community is for children.

“It was nice to share that with him because it’s exactly why we felt drawn to come back – for the kids to grow up surrounded by family, friends and a strong sense of belonging and most importantly in a safe environment.”

Stone and her American husband Cody DaLuz and their four children recently moved back to Britain from Nashville in Tennessee.

Prince Harry lives with his wife Meghan and their children in Montecito, California, but it was reported in the Daily Mail that he plans a British education for their children.

A source told the paper: “I can tell you that Harry wants to educate the children here in the UK.

“Harry feels his children are missing out on the extensive family network that their niece and nephews are enjoying.

“Harry wants his children to have the very best education. He has retained his closest friendship group of confidants from his days at school at Ludgrove and Eton. He wants that for his own children.”

While Meghan is said to consider boarding school “barbaric, the King is said to be “delighted” at the prospect of Harry and his family moving back.

A spokesperson said Harry “loved” being back in the UK last week and “catching up with old friends” and colleagues.

In a move being viewed as a significant, but tentative step towards repairing their troubled relationship, Harry joined Charles for a private tea late on Wednesday afternoon, spending 54 minutes with his father at Clarence House after not seeing him face to face for 19 months.

The duke, however, remains estranged from the Prince of Wales.

The once-close brothers’ long-standing rift shows no sign of healing, with the pair not meeting during Harry’s four-day stay.
