Prince Andrew's comments to 'livid' Prince William at royal funeral decoded by expert

A lip reader has revealed what Prince Andrew reportedly said to Prince William after the Duchess of Kent’s funeral, in a conversation that allegedly left the Prince of Wales “furious”. The Duke of York, 65, and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson caused a stir with their unexpected appearance at Westminster Abbey on Tuesday, prompting audible reactions from spectators. While other senior royals maintained sombre expressions, Andrew was caught on camera laughing and smiling, behaviour that reportedly caused tension with Prince William . Video footage of Prince Andrew trying to engage his nephew in conversation after the service has been widely shared on social media, sparking curiosity about the exact words spoken. In the video, Andrew can be seen persistently attempting to engage William in conversation, even flashing a smile after one comment. However, despite his efforts, Prince William does not respond to his uncle, reports the Mirror . A lip reader has now revealed what Andrew allegedly said to William during the brief private exchange. According to Jeremy Freeman, the Duke of York remarked: “…we had a lovely time in those days, didn’t we… I remember those days.” Royal biographer Andrew Lownie told the Mirror that Prince William was “livid” at being cornered by his uncle during the poignant ceremony. “He has been at pains to distance himself from his uncle and not be photographed with him,” Lownie said. “He believes his father has not dealt with him with sufficient firmness and that Andrew – and Sarah Ferguson – have done much to undermine the good work of other members of the royal family.” Prince William has long had a strained relationship with his uncle, Prince Andrew, with tensions reportedly worsening after alleged offensive comments about Princess Kate . The biography The Rise and Fall of the Yorks details the Duke and Duchess of York’s controversial lifestyle, secretive financial dealings, and their complicated relationships within the Royal Family. The Duke of York was hit with sexual abuse allegations from Virginia Giuffre, one of paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein’s most prominent victims. The father-of-two Andrew has strongly refuted these accusations. His Majesty joined other Royal family members on Tuesday, September 16, for the poignant farewell to the Duchess of Kent. Mourners filled Westminster Cathedral for the requiem mass, a Catholic ceremony – the first of its kind for a Royal family member in modern British history. A touching message from the Pope, praising the duchess’s “devoted care for vulnerable people,” was woven into the deeply spiritual service. Pope Leo XIV’s tribute was read to the assembled congregation by Archbishop Miguel Maury Buendía, the Vatican’s diplomatic representative in the UK, who highlighted the duchess’s “legacy of Christian goodness.” A devoutly religious Roman Catholic, the duchess broke new ground as the first Royal family member to adopt Catholicism in over 300 years, converting in 1994. She had asked for her funeral to be held at Westminster Cathedral.
