Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson have reportedly demanded two homes to compensate them for finally leaving the Royal Lodge. The former couple, who divorced in 1996, currently live together in the 30-room mansion. It has been claimed that shamed Andrew is in discussions about voluntarily leaving the estate, where he has lived for more than 20 years, over the "peppercorn" rent he pays to the Crown to stay in the property. The disgraced prince has been under mounting pressure to vacate the Royal Lodge due to the ongoing controversy surrounding his connections to paedophile Jeffrey Epstein , alsong with the release of posthumous memoirs by his sexual assault accuser Virginia Giuffre. Andrew refutes all allegations made against him. The Mirror reports that Andrew, 65, is reportedly in discussions with King Charles' aides over a move but is reluctant to leave his home of over two decades. Potential stumbling blocks are understood to be the location of his new home as well as financial compensation for money spent on renovating the lodge during his time there. And the exit talks are said to have seen the King's brazen brother ask for not one, but two homes - so that he and his ex-wife can both stay at new, Royal lodgings. Andrew is believed to have asked for Frogmore Cottage, the former Windsor home of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Meanwhile, Sarah Ferguson is keen for a move into Adelaide Cottage once Prince William and Kate Middleton leave later this year. A friend of the pair reportedly told The Sun : “No one is really sure how it’s going to go down at the Palace yet. Frogmore Cottage is too small for both and Adelaide Cottage is around the corner so they will see each other whenever they want. Both have space for their daughters Eugenie and Beatrice and their families to visit.” The Mirror has approached Buckingham Palace and Prince Andrew's representatives for comment. The demands come amid reports that Prince William is demanding his uncle leave the Royal Lodge within the next fortnight. The Prince of Wales and his family are preparing to move into the nearby Forest Lodge and he wants Andrew out by Bonfire Night. The source said: "Catherine shudders at the thought of living so close to Royal Lodge while Prince Andrew is still in it. William wants him gone before they start to move in next week. "It’s not about what Andrew doesn’t want to do anymore. It’s about what he’s going to be told to do." In Parliament, MPs are meanwhile set to debate Andrew’s conduct, his 30-room Royal Lodge, and the possibility of stripping him of his dukedom. While Andrew gave up using his Duke of York title earlier this month, only a law passed by Parliament can formally remove it. The Government has not yet allocated time for MPs to discuss Andrew’s situation in the House of Commons, but other parties could raise the issue when Labour ministers aren't in control of the Westminster timetable. A Lib Dem source suggested to the Sunday Times that they may use an opposition day to allow the debate. And the SNP Westminster leader Stephen Flynn has called on the Prime Minister to let his party take action in removing Prince Andrew's Duke of York title if the Government refuses to do so.
