Prince Andrew 'offered lavish palace with 6 bedrooms and a pool'

Prince Andrew has allegedly been handed a lavish offer from Abu Dhabi's Royal family as mounting pressure grows for him to vacate Royal Lodge in the UK. The scandal-hit prince, who surrendered the Duke of York title and other honours last week, has been further embroiled in the Jeffrey Epstein controversy recently following the release of his abuse accuser Virginia Giuffre's posthumous memoir, amid claims he sexually assaulted her. He has consistently refuted any misconduct. Read more: Murder probe after man attacked in Birmingham Andrew is reportedly in discussions with King Charles's advisers about voluntarily departing Royal Lodge following the uproar over the "peppercorn" rent for his 30-room estate, though he remains hesitant to abandon his home of over two decades. The Daily Telegraph reveals that the stumbling blocks in negotiations concern the location of his new residence and financial recompense for money invested in the lodge. The prince, who vehemently rejects Ms Giuffre's accusations, has faced renewed condemnation regarding his property, with several MPs keen to address the matter in Parliament. And now it appears one of his alternatives could be situated in the Middle East, where he might discover comfort in an opulent palace in the UAE capital of Abu Dhabi, reports the Express . Royal historian Andrew Lownie alleged the Arabian residence was presented to Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson by the UAE's ruling Royal dynasty - the house of Nahyan. According to the Sun, ruler Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan made the generous offer as a gesture of "gratitude" for Andrew's "kindness" to them when he was the UK's international business envoy. A source claimed that the UAE's royals have "made it clear" to Andrew that the palace is his "if he wants it" if his "position in the UK becomes untenable". They added: "He has come under enormous pressure following recent developments, and the King and Prince William are nearing the point where they've had enough. "Andrew would be afforded every luxury if he makes the move to the UAE but the climate will take him - and Fergie - some time to get used to. Temperatures often top 50C in the summer, meaning he would have to spend much of his time with air conditioning indoors." The lavish residence in the Middle East might represent something of a step down for Andrew, who has resided for years in Windsor's 30-bedroom, Grade II listed estate. The Arabian mansion sits within a "secure diplomatic area" spanning more than 1,500 square metres on an exclusive site designated for VIPs. The publication reports it boasts six ensuite air-conditioned bedrooms, an indoor gymnasium complete with a swimming pool, a home cinema, a spacious kitchen, and resident staff, including a team of personal chefs. Should Andrew and Fergie accept the kind offer from the Arabian royals, he would be treading a path previously walked by another scandal-hit royal, the exiled King Juan Carlos I of Spain, who has had his own fair share of controversies.
