Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, accompanied by his spouse, arrived in Tashkent on 28 October for an official visit. At the international airport of the capital, the high-ranking guest and his accompanying delegation were welcomed by Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov and other officials. During the visit, meetings and high-level negotiations are scheduled, where the sides will discuss the current state and prospects of Uzbek-Serbian cooperation, strengthening political dialogue, as well as expanding collaboration in trade and economic sectors, investment, cultural and humanitarian spheres, and education. Additionally, the President of Serbia will participate as an honored guest in the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference, taking place in Samarkand. President Aleksandar Vučić’s official visit to Uzbekistan is expected to be an important step in strengthening bilateral relations and expanding international cooperation based on mutual respect and strategic partnership.
