By DayakDaily Team KUCHING, Oct 26: Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg will put the State in the global spotlight as he meets top energy leaders and delivers a keynote address at the Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW) 2025 on Oct 27, showcasing Sarawak’s renewable energy achievements. In a Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) news report, the Premier is scheduled to deliver the keynote address at the Expo and Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands, joining international energy leaders in sharing insights on sustainable energy solutions and the State’s green initiatives. Ahead of his address, he will hold high-level discussions with delegations from PFYN Capital AG, MASDAR, and Blueleaf Energy/Chemsain, reinforcing Sarawak’s presence in the global energy sector and exploring potential collaborations. The Premier’s participation underscores Sarawak’s ambition to lead in renewable energy development, attract international investment, and contribute to a sustainable global energy future. Organised by the Energy Market Authority of Singapore (EMA), SIEW 2025 is a premier platform for energy professionals, policymakers, and industry experts to exchange ideas on global energy trends. The summit’s theme, “Envisioning Energy Tomorrow, Building Systems Today,” highlights innovations in renewable energy, technology, and policy frameworks.
