Pratika Rawal suffered a horrific ankle injury while fielding in the IND-W vs BAN-W ICC Women's World Cup 2025 match at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai on October 26. This incident happened on the last ball of the 21st over when Sharmin Akhter hit a Deepti Sharma delivery on the leg-side. Pratika Rawal, who ran across the midwicket boundary in a bid to save the boundary, overran the ball and slipped on the field.
