The PPA Tour Asia has officially opened registrations for the much-anticipated Hangzhou Open 2025, which will take place in China from December 3–6, 2025. As the seventh and final stop of the ongoing season, the tournament will attract both professionals and amateurs, offering an exciting conclusion to another successful year of pickleball in Asia. The event will be hosted at the Linping Sports Centre, a state-of-the-art facility that gained international attention after serving as one of the venues for the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games, held from September 23 to October 8, 2023. A total USD $50,000 in prize money will be on the line, alongside 1,000 PPA Tour Asia points and 500 PPA Tour ranking points. Players will compete across multiple categories, with professionals vying for both ranking points and prize rewards. In singles, doubles, and mixed doubles, gold medalists will take home US$1,800–3,000 and the full 1,000 Asia points and 500 USA points. Silver medalists will earn US$1,200–2,200, while bronze finishers will collect US$850–1,500. Players finishing fourth will receive up to US$900, with ranking points awarded down to the Round of 16. One of the key highlights of the event will be the “Play Where the Pros Play” initiative. This unique format allows amateur players to compete at the same venue as the tour’s elite athletes, celebrating pickleball’s inclusivity and community spirit. The Hangzhou Open 2025 promises to be a fitting finale to the PPA Tour Asia season, uniting top-tier competition with the vibrant passion of pickleball enthusiasts from across the region.
