Power shutdown in parts of Bengaluru for maintenance

Several areas in the city will face disruption in power supply on Tuesday as the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) undertakes scheduled maintenance works at the 66/11 kV Adugodi Substation.

According to a BESCOM press release, power supply will be disrupted between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. to facilitate the second quarterly maintenance of Transformer 1, 2, and 3, along with servicing and overhauling of 11 kV breakers and On-Load Tap Changer (OLTC) overhauling of Transformers 2 and 3.

The affected areas include 5th Block Industrial Area, Koramangala (Blocks 3 to 7), Madiwala, Venkateshwara Layout, Chikkadugodi, Jogi Colony, Maruthinagara, Adugodi (7th and 8th Blocks, Adugodi Main Road), Bannerghatta Road, KHB Colony (3rd to 6th Blocks), MICO Layout, Bhuvanappa Layout, Cauvery Layout, Krishnanagar Industrial Layout, S.G. Palya, Madivala Santhe, and Siddhartha Colony.

Residents and business establishments in these localities have been advised to plan accordingly to minimise inconvenience during the shutdown period.
