Poundland has announced plans to close another 10 stores, with some branches shutting down in just days. The budget retailer has already axed 30 locations, but now a further 10 have begun advertising major sales, with some offering up to 40 per cent off discounts. Poundland's decision forms part of a significant turnaround which will result in 68 store closures signed off by the end of 2025. A huge range of items are available in the sale, from homeware goods to clothing and even health and beauty. Poundland's store in Perry Barr is shutting on November 2, alongside the group's Hailsam location. The former Brummie-loved branch is currently offering huge reductions on stock, according to the Sun. Just weeks after the Birmingham branch closes, the Loughborough store will close its doors for good on November 14. A Poundland spokesperson said: "Customers will be able to take advantage of significant savings as these stores prepare for closure in the days ahead. Darren MacDonald, Poundland's UK country manager, added: "We know how disappointing it is when we leave a store, but before we close our doors for a final time, we're determined to say goodbye by offering even more amazing value to customers. "The special reductions, on top of the value we provide in every store, will help us leave locations we're leaving with pride. "And when we close our doors, we look forward to welcoming customers to one of the hundreds of Poundland stores we'll continue to operate right across the UK."
