On the latest episode of WWE “Monday Night Raw,” fans saw many stars in action, including the new World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk, WWE Women’s Champion Stephanie Vaquer, and the WWE Tag Team Champions AJ Styles and Dragon Lee. In addition, WWE Intercontinental and AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio arrived to the ring to put himself over as the “king of the luchadores.” While he drew a load of heat from the fans in New Mexico, he also received a response from a popular star returning to Raw. His father, the legendary Rey Mysterio, showed up to interrupt Dom’s in-ring rant, telling him he shouldn’t disrespect all-time greats, including the late Eddie Guerrero. That resulted in a standoff between father and son, with Dom telling him to leave “his ring.” Rey put his son on notice that, as long as he’s around, Dom will never be “the greatest Mysterio,” which led to a big spot featuring the two competitors battling. Rey gained the upper hand, sending his son into the ropes for a 619 that the fans truly appreciated. He had successful surgery and initially had a return anticipated for the end of 2025. The master of the 619 was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2023, but continues to compete in various matches. It wouldn’t be surprising to see him now participating in AAA matches similar to Dom and other WWE stars. They famously teamed up and then feuded in a series of matches, which helped Dom gain more popularity. In addition to Rey’s surprise return on WWE Raw, fans also saw Logan Paul return in an earlier segment. Paul seemingly challenged CM Punk for his newly won WWE World Heavyweight Championship, then got attacked in the ring trying to fight Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.
