The popular Hungry Horse pub will temporarily close to the public from Monday (November 3) while the renovation takes place, with the venue set to unveil its new look towards the end of next month. Planned works at the venue off Donington Grove, Wolverhampton, include the creation of a more open-plan restaurant layout to ensure a generous, spacious area for diners, as well as stylish new décor, furniture and a new self-serve coffee machine, enabling guests to refuel with free refills throughout the day. The pub, operated by Greene King, will also be improving its sports offering with the installation of a new dartboard and upgraded TV screens throughout the venue, showcasing the latest fixtures on Sky Sports and TNT Sports. Outside, The Gatehouse will benefit from new signage, lighting and comfortable garden furniture. A new outdoor children’s play area will also be introduced to offer a family-friendly space for guests of all ages to enjoy throughout the year. The changes are part of a six-figure investment at the site by pub business Greene King which runs around 2,600 pubs, restaurants and hotels across England, Wales and Scotland.
