Anunay Sood was a popular travel influencer with 1.4 million followers on Instagram. “Your daily dose of travel therapy,” his page declares. Sood was listed by Forbes India as one of India’s top 100 “digital stars.” “The travel influencer and YouTuber is known for his passion for cars, travel and adventure,” Forbes India wrote. “He has explored nearly 40 countries and has been featured in National Geographic India, Conde Nast Traveller India, and Lonely Planet India.” “He runs a digital and performance marketing company based in Dubai,” wrote Forbes India. Sood’s bio on YouTube reads, “Anunay is also a travel photographer and vlogger. Having been featured by NetGeo India, CN Traveller India, Lonely Planet India, Anunay is India’s leading travel influencer. Anunay’s love and passion for travel is appreciated on Instagram and YouTube.” He had 384,000 subscribers on his YouTube page, and he was also active on Facebook. However, on November 5, his family confirmed in a statement posted to the page that he has died. The cause of death was not released. “It is with deep sadness that we share the news of our beloved Anunay Sood’s passing,” the family wrote. Anunay Sood’s Family Asked People to Avoid Gathering in Crowds Near His ‘Personal Property’ Sood’s family made a request of fans in the statement. “We kindly ask for your understanding and privacy as we navigate this difficult time. We humbly request you to avoid gathering crowd near personal property,” they wrote. “Please keep his family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers. May his soul rest in peace,” the statement concluded. It was signed, “The family and friends of Anunay Sood.” People expressed grief in the comment thread. “Rest in Peace Bhai❤️ its hard to believe since I found out last night.. you will be missed deeply,” wrote one. “Ohhh nooo… 😢😢 he was travelling happily and everything was fine… what happen so sudden🥺🥺” wrote another fan. “Whattt??? Someone pls tell me this is not true 😢” wrote another person. “You were such a bright light and was grateful to be able to experience that even for a moment. Anunay Sood Posted With Luxury Cars in Las Vegas Just 2 Days Before His Death Everything looked fine just two days before Sood’s death. “Still can’t believe I spent the weekend surrounded by legends and dream machines 😍” he wrote, posing with luxury vehicles in Las Vegas. “Parked my sparkle in Vegas 😏Because subtlety is overrated,” he added. Four days before his death was announced, Sood wrote, “Vegas lights, champagne nights, and the most dreamy cars you can imagine.”
