A popular music and film shop is confirmed to be opening in a Cambridgeshire shopping centre. It was announced today (September 29) that HMV would be opening a store in Queensgate Shopping Centre in Peterborough later this year.
The store is returning to the shopping centre after its original shop was closed in 2019 after HMV went into administration at the end of 2018. HMV sells a range of products with a focus on music, books, film, and technology.
The store is currently hiring for a store manager. The opening date of HMV is yet to be confirmed.
The opening was announced on social media. A spokesperson for Queensgate Shopping Centre said: “BIG NEWS, PETERBOROUGH! You asked… and it’s finally happening!
“HMV is coming to Queensgate THIS YEAR! From vinyl and merch to movies, tech & more — get ready to lose yourself in music and entertainment heaven!
“Even better? They’re HIRING! So if you’re passionate about pop culture and want to be part of the iconic HMV team, this is your chance!”
