A long-standing Manchester restaurant has taken to social media to "sincerely apologise" about an upcoming price hike. China Buffet, located on Nicholas Street, Manchester , which claims to be the last Chinese buffet in Manchester's Chinatown, has announced that their prices will be increasing due to the rise in costs. In a post shared on social media platform Instagram, the restaurant shares how it has been "bittersweet" to see other buffets open and close during their time in Manchester's Chinatown . China Buffet Mrc wrote on Instagram: "Running the last Chinese buffet in Manchester Chinatown has truly been a joy for us. We were one of the very first restaurants here, and it’s incredible to see how long we’ve lasted - though it’s bittersweet to watch some of our earliest neighbours come and go. Join our Manchester Food and Drink WhatsApp group HERE "We’ve always done our best to keep our prices low, but with the ongoing rises in stock costs, wages, bills, and especially rent, we’ve found ourselves in a tight spot once again." Explaining the difference in the prices, China Buffet Mrc continued: "Unfortunately, we’ll be increasing both our lunch and dinner prices by £1. We’re still keeping things as affordable as possible, and we hope it can stay that way for as long as we’re here. "We sincerely apologise and hope you understand. Your support and love mean the world to us - it’s been truly amazing. Our new prices will be £13.95 for lunch and £17.95 for dinner, just a £1 increase. "We hope things can stay this way for a good while." Despite the price hike, some people have taken to the comments to share how the restaurant is still "good value". @Crystalhivemanchester commented: "Still amazing value! Want to try soon!" Instagram user @LolaAppleton10 wrote: "This place is mega", and @AltrinchamHQ said: "Sounds like a bargain." From November 9, the price of the lunch buffet will be £13.95, and dinner time buffet will be £17.95 - a price hike of £1 for both.
