Beaverbrooks has announced it will close all 83 of its locations this Boxing Day. Anna Blackburn, Managing Director at Beaverbrooks, said: “Strong family values are at the heart of our business, and so we want to give our wonderful colleagues some much-deserved time to relax and connect with friends and family after a busy festive period. “We believe that putting our colleagues first in every decision we make is key to creating a stronger, more engaged workforce, which helps our people to deliver exceptional levels of customer service. “Hopefully we inspire other businesses to follow in our footsteps this year. “We’re also delighted to be welcoming seasonal recruits to support our teams through the festive period. “Their contribution will be invaluable in helping us to deliver the outstanding service and experience our customers expect during our busiest time of year.” Similarly, Poundland has announced it will close for three days across Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year's Day. Darren MacDonald, Country Manager UK at the high street giant, said: "It's no secret that 2025 has been one of our most challenging years, but the support and commitment from our colleagues has been nothing short of amazing – and I'm delighted we can renew our commitment to give them the time they deserve over the holidays.
